Presenter Resources and Information

The technical sessions will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center, the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Hilton Waikiki Beach, Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Marriott Waikiki Beach, Royal Hawaiian, and Sheraton Waikiki, see Session Map.

Speakers in oral sessions should arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled speaking times. Poster presenters should set up their posters one hour before or no later than 30 minutes before the start of the poster session.

All oral and poster presenters are required to wear a Pacifichem meeting registration badge. Presenters will not be allowed to enter the presentation or poster areas without an official registration badge.

Poster Session Guidelines

All poster sessions will be located at the Hawaii Convention Center in Kamehameha Halls 1, 2, and 3, Lobby Level.

Presenters should set up their posters one hour before —  or no later than 30 minutes before —  the start of the poster session. Poster numbers supplied by Pacifichem will be placed in the upper corner of each poster board.

Each poster board will have a card at the top corner of the poster board indicating the Area Abbreviation and Abstract Number as indicated in the Technical Program. In the poster hall, the section for your subject area will be marked with a Flag with the abbreviation of your area. Poster numbers will be in numerical order within each subject area. Consult your most recent scheduling notice for the subject area and final abstract ID.

Pushpins will be available at the poster session. Authors must remain with their posters for the duration of their scheduled session as indicated in the technical program. All posters must remain up until the session ends and then must be removed within one hour. Pacifichem cannot assume responsibility for materials beyond these time limits.

Oral Session Equipment & Guidelines

Each technical session meeting room will be equipped with the following:

Speakers may also provide their own laptops or arrange for specialty equipment directly with their symposium organizer program chair. A VGA plug and switching box will be provided in each presentation room. Any adapters to VGA should be provided by the presenter, or requested at least 1 hour in advance through the Speaker Ready Room. To request other specialty equipment (at the standard fee), contact an Pacifichem Operations Office during the meeting.

Internet connectivity is not available in the presentation rooms unless it has been paid for and ordered in advance.

To ensure compatibility, especially for animations or video files, presenters should test their presentations on Pacifichem equipment in the Speaker Ready Room inside the property where the presentation is scheduled to take place at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled presentation.

Ensure compatibility with LCD projectors, computer equipment and software, fulfill last-minute audiovisual equipment orders or rehearse your presentation.
