Immunoanalysis: Applications and Trends for Environmental Monitoring and Human Health (#94)
Immunoassays that have been used for clinical diagnosis for many years are now being used to assess human and environmental health. The technology continues to develop toward simpler to use, more rapid, field portable tests that may be either qualitative or quantitative. This symposium will examine both current applications and new technologies that are being developed to improve immunoassays, particularly for environmental contaminants, food contaminants/adulterants and bioterror agents. It will bring together industry, government and academics to share advances that will benefit the technology as a whole with a focus on how their use has led to improved human and environmental health.
