Metal Mediated Polymerization (#292)

Polymerizations are a topic of broad interest to both academic and industrial researchers, and the multibillion dollar polymer industry is a key chemical employer along the Pacific rim. Accordingly, this symposium is dedicated to all research areas related to metal-mediated polymerization. It will encompass radical, ring-opening, and coordination-insertion polymerization reactions of alkenes, alkynes and related polar polymers, epoxides, cyclic lactones, and other recently developed monomers. Topics are also expected to include synthesis and polymerization of novel monomers, mechanistic investigations, as well as properties and applications of both organic and inorganic polymer systems. Contributions of a computational nature are also welcome.
