New Generation of Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion System: Materials, Interface and In-situ Techniques (#250)
Electrochemical energy storage and conversion play important roles in the rapid development of power sources for Electric Vehicles and Renewable Energy Storage. Advances in the understanding of the electrode materials and electrochemical reactions will improve and impact the development of electrochemical energy system. This symposium highlights the newest advances in new electrode/electrolyte materials, real-time diagnostic techniques, computational materials design and characterization in the electrochemical energy storage and conversion field. The emphasis of the symposium will be placed on the new electrode materials, interfacial phenomena in energy-storage systems, their electrochemical behaviors and reaction mechanisms. Main topics are included: ) New electrodes(cathode/anode)/electrolyte materials for rechargeable batteries, either Li-ion or Na-ion batteries 2) Interfacial phenomenon in electrochemical energy system ( e.g. SEI issues in Li-ion batteries and new photo-electrocatalytic reaction), and 3) Advances in in-situ characterization for electrochemical energy system.
