Macromolecular Self-Assembly for Smart Biomaterials (#196)
Macromolecular self-assembly which is inspired by Nature assembly has great potential for new biomaterials. Tremendous efforts have been focused on development of novel macromolecular design and their assembling behaviors for future biomaterials which show unique chemical and biological functions. In this symposium, current topics and new directions of macromolecular self-assembly including new synthetic design, structure-property relationship, nanomedicine, artificial tissue, self-healing, synthetic peptide assembly and other biomaterial applications will be presented and discussed. Since the fields as well as the presenters’ geography are diverse, we anticipate that this symposium will provide a great opportunity for inter-national and inter-continental networks and possible generation of new research ideas and perhaps even research fields.
