Metal-organic frameworks that generate pores and channels have attracted much attention due to their diverse applications as new generation materials. The symposium will focus on progress and perspectives of metal-organic frameworks, with respect to designs, synthetic methodology, reactions, properties, and applications. The symposium will cover the topics of (1) Framework Design and Synthesis, (2) Physical Properties & Theoretical Studies, (3) Reactions & Frameworks Responding to External Stimuli, and (4) Applications in Gas Storage/Separation, Catalysis, and Sensors. Tentative invited speakers of this symposium are as follows: Prof. Omar M. Yaghi (US), Prof. Susumu Kitagawa (JP), Prof. Jeffrey Long (US), Prof. Randall Q. Snurr (US), Prof. Matthew Rosseinsky (UK), Prof. Mike Zaworotko (US), Prof. Ronald A. Fischer (DE), George K. H. Shimizu (CA) |
