Multimetallic complexes having the homo- or heterometallic centers connected by sulfur ligands are attracting much attention in relevance to the active sites of biological and industrial catalysts. This symposium consists of three sessions dealing with sulfide- and thiolate-bridged multimetallic complexes, which focuses on their synthesis, structures, and their reactivities as the functional models of natural enzymes (e.g., hydrogenase, nitrogenase) and industrial catalysts.
