This symposium will focus on the synthesis, characterization and applications of hybrid materials in which one component is a conjugated polymer. In addition, new developments in functional hybrid materials which show exciting properties will be featured. Areas that will be covered include nanomaterial (nanorod, semiconductor and metal nanoparticle) hybrids, nanostructured materials, dendrimer and hyperbranched conjugated hybrid materials, biomaterials and biosensors, macromolecular assemblies, solar cells and light-emitting devices based on hybrid materials, metal functionalized conjugated polymers, self assembly, photonic materials, supramolecular hybrids.
