The theme of this symposium is to discuss the importance of parametric studies in solid state chemistry. Topics that will be discussed include: Novel synthetic methods in Solid State Chemistry; In-situ structural studies including structural phase transitions; Magnetic structure determination; Ionic conductivity in metal oxides; and Metal-insulator transitions.
