Interfacial phenomena at solid-liquid surface are one of the most important environmental processes in water, wastewater treatment and sourcewater protection. This symposium will bring researchers, who are advancing the state of knowledge on the following topics of interests: 1. Transport and fate of microorganisms; 2. Transport and fate of natural and engineered nanoparticles; 3. Role of surface interactions in pathogen inactivation; 4. Chemical reactions at solid-liquid interface; 5. Mechanisms of membrane fouling and cleaning. Presentations for each topic of interests will be planned for a half-day session.
