The symposium "Supramolecular Nanoassemblies and Extended Frameworks" is focused on nanostructure formation based on organic compounds and organic-inorganic hybrids. Supramolecular self-assembly and nanostructure formation have attracted much attention from both pure and applied materials science. This symposium is planned to discuss recent developments in the synthesis, structures, and functional properties of nanocomposites based on organic, organic-inorganic, and metal-organic systems. The following topics will be included: (1) Supramolecular chemistry towards new smart materials. (2) Nano- and mesoscopic self-assemblies of organic molecules and organic-inorganic hybrids. (3) Metal organic frameworks (MOFs). (4) Functional nano- and mesocomposites. The following scientists will give invited talks: Markus Antonietti, Roman Boulatov, Jinwoo Cheon, Ivan Huc, Shinji Inagaki, Nobuo Kimizuka, Hiroshi Kitagawa, Katsuaki Konishi, Masaji Kunitake, E. W. Meijer, Klaus Müllen, Naotoshi Nakashima, Seiji Shinkai, Mitsuhiko Shionoya, Jürgen P. Rabe, and Omar M. Yaghi. Contributed papers are included as oral and poster presentations. |
