The symposium will provide comprehensive coverage of reactive intermediates and of molecules with highly unusual structure. New aspects of the chemistry of reactive intermediates such as radicals, carbenes, nitrenes and ionic species will be presented. Speakers will discuss the application of direct observational methods including femto, pico and nanosecond time resolved UV-Vis and IR spectroscopy. Matrix IR, UV-Vis and magnetic resonance spectroscopic study of reactive intermediates will be covered along with chemical analysis of the stable products formed by reactive intermediates. Theoretical investigation of reactive intermediate chemistry will be covered as well. New results on molecules with great strain and unusual architecture or bonding motifs will also be presented. The list of invited speakers will reflect the international scope of this field of chemistry. |
