Pacifichem 2015 has negotiated excellent rates at a wide selection of hotels located in the Waikiki Beach area near the meeting. All attendees who book their room through the official housing bureau (Orchid Event Solutions) will receive complimentary Internet access in the rooms. Pacifichem only endorses room reservations booked through their official housing bureau, Orchid Event Solutions.*

Hotel reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served, space available basis. Submit your request as soon as possible for the best opportunity of receiving your hotel choice. All requests must be received by November 13, 2015 to guarantee availability and special contracted rates. After this date, reservations will be made based on availability and hotels may charge higher rates.
Three Ways to Reserve a Room by the November 13th Reservation Deadline
Internet. Reserve Online. Reservations require a valid credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA), and you will receive a confirmation to your e-mail address within 24 hours.
Telephone. Call Orchid Event Solutions at (866) 847-8570 (U.S./Canada only) or (801) 505-4140 (international), Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM MST. Telephone reservations require a valid credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA), and you will receive an acknowledgment to your e-mail address within 24 hours.
Fax/Mail. Download the Hotel Reservation Form. Fax the Pacifichem Housing Form (available online) with your valid credit card information to (801) 355-0250 or mail the form with your valid credit card information or a check for the amount of one night’s room and tax made payable to Orchid Event Solutions. Mail to Pacifichem Housing, c/o Orchid Event Solutions, 175 South West Temple, Suite 30, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Faxed and mailed reservations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and require 10 to 14 days to be confirmed. If your requested hotel is no longer available, we will attempt to honor your indicated preference according to cost and location.
Some hotels may have rooms available after November 13. A listing of these hotels will be posted on the Pacifichem meeting website at www.pacifichem.org.
Accommodations for Guests with Disabilities
Guests requiring special hotel accommodations because of a disability should indicate special requirements when making their reservation. Reconfirm any special room arrangements directly with the hotel.
All reservation requests must be accompanied by a credit card guarantee or check in the amount equaling a deposit for one night’s room and tax for each room reserved. All rooms are subject to 13.962% room and occupancy tax (subject to change).
Although a valid credit card or check deposit for one night’s room and tax is required to confirm a reservation, a payment will not be charged by Orchid Event Solutions. The credit card information or check deposit will be forwarded with your reservation to your hotel on November 15 after 5 PM MST. Hotels may elect to charge a deposit of one night’s room and tax to your credit card prior to your arrival. You will need to handle all payment arrangements directly with your assigned hotel.
- Guarantee hotel reservations by credit card (American Express, MasterCard, VISA), check, or money order.
- Don’t combine hotel fees with any other payment (e.g., registration, membership dues).
- Reservations received without a valid guarantee/deposit will not be processed.
- For checks or money orders, please make payable in US dollars to Orchid Event Solutions and be sure to include a completed Pacifichem Housing Form with each mailed payment.
Changes & Cancellation Policy
Reservation changes and cancellations can be made without penalty until November 13, 2015. Hotels do not have individual reservations or credit card guarantees yet. Reservations cancelled after November 13 will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee by Orchid Event Solutions for each room cancelled. One night’s room & tax will be charged by the hotel for reservations that are cancelled within 72 hours of arrival date. Penalties for early departures may be enforced and vary by hotel, please refer to your reservation acknowledgement for your individual hotel cancellation policy.
Through December 3, 2015 send requests for changes and cancellations in writing to Orchid Event Solutions via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or fax to 801-355-0250. After December 3rd contact hotels directly to make changes and cancellations.
Orchid Event Solutions will send a reservation confirmation. (You won’t receive a separate confirmation from your hotel.) Please review your confirmation for accuracy. We strongly recommend that you bring your confirmation with you to the meeting.

Reservations must be made through Orchid Event Solutions to receive Pacifichem 2015 discounted rates.
An on-site housing desk will be available during the meeting in the registration area of the Hawaii Convention Center to assist with last-minute housing changes or needs.
The Chemical Society of Japan, a co-sponsor of Pacifichem 2015, has entered into an agreement with the Nippon Travel Agency to facilitate travel and housing arrangements for attendees coming to Pacifichem 2015 from Japan.
