Official Participating Society (OPO)

2010 International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies

The cosponsoring societies believe that a significant reason for the success of the previous events has been the involvement of other societies in the Pacific Basin and the participation of their members.  Therefore, chemical societies in countries bordering the Pacific Ocean who are not represented on the Pacifichem Organizing Committee are given the opportunity to register themselves as Official Participating Societies. If there are additional societies in countries that are already represented by founding or sponsoring societies, their inclusion requires the approval of that Society. Otherwise, all chemical, biochemical, engineering, and pharmaceutical chemical societies are welcome.

Official Participating Organizations have no financial responsibility for the conference.  However, Official Participating Organizations are expected to use their normal methods of communication to inform their members about Pacifichem 2010, the general outline of the scientific program and how to register in advance and request reservations for accommodations.  An important benefit to members of the Official Participating Organizations is that they may register for the Congress at the discounted member rate.

If your society is interested in becoming registered as an Official Participating Society (OPO), please contact the Pacifichem Secretariat for more information:
